On Thursday the "Depth Charge" visited the wreck of the "Vizcaya" which sank in 1890. Topside conditions could not have been better, except it was a bit too hot while donning drysuits. Since there was no wind, the biting flies are now lurking, beware the swarms. Flat calm, and no current, so we could stern tie the anchor line. Surface water temps were 72, thermocline at about 30' and then bottom was 55 degrees, and the visibility was unreal at 40'+. You have to see the video to believe it. Sherwood and I splashed and set the anchor line, and did a tour of the wreck, using no reels as it was so clear. I found a lost anchor, chain and line and brought it back. Ken speared a huge fluke, and three keeper lobster were rescued. Our buddy Steph even dove the wreck with a 3 mil wetsuit! Yeah, it's getting that time of year. Hope you enjoy the video!
Considering the topside and bottom conditions, this had to be in the top three of best days out on the Atlantic I had. Excellent day all around. I hope this vis sticks around for a while.

GoPro Hero 2, no filter. I use the Golem Gear housing with the flat port, gives the sharpest image. Glad you liked it, I was impressed with the vis too!
