Wreck Diving and spear fishing bonanza off Barnegat NJ

Great diving on Tuesday off of Barnegat NJ. The ocean was flat as a pancake. No current, no surge, 70 degrees on the surface, 54 at the bottom, and....

wait for it....

wait...........

30' visibility on two of the inshore wrecks, and 20-25 on the other.

Howard, they did not explore much, I told them to look for the big anchor on the Brick.Good year for you so far. We have not found many fluke yet.See you on the water, Rob ,Chrissy T

Nice video. I "think" the "gun" was a drive shaft for the windless that goes through the deck. I think I got that information from Dan Lieb when he was diving with us Years and Years ago (he has not been diving with us recently)!! We used to hit that wreck quite often. I think a bell was recovered off the wreck but it did not have a name. Jack or Harley please correct me if I am wrong.

Nice report. You hit two of my favorites , I guess from what you said a lot of divers feel the same way. That Yellow flag has a lot of pieces and some are better than others , just have to hit it right and get lucky.
I lost a spear gun shaft on a snag 3 years ago inside the wreckage and the next year I found it on the outside of the wreck , so you never know.
