Anyone ever use a GOPRO camara overseas?

My question to you is if you bring this unit overseas or anywhere your main computer is not, How do you download everydays worth of video you take? - Maybe i am incorrect but if you use all the memory up - it does not seem that much, easily done in one afternoon with the kids what do you do then - do you need to bring a laptop with you? - wait does the unit have a memory slot? - also which one do you have, the less MP or more and do you think the new version is better or worth the extra money?

Worst case, buy a few memory cards and change them as needed.

Cards are rated for quality 1 thru 10. Be sure to get the cards with the 10 rating or the video won't be as good. Not sure but I bet you can down load to an I pad or even one of the latest I phones. Have the new hero and it is great.

Yeah, the GoPro site says to use AT LEAST a CLASS 4 card, but the higher the better. This stuff is all on the GoPro site for ANYONE to find, Big B. Just sayin'.

The GOPRO site says it'll take up to a 32g HCSD card. That's a lot of stuff. Just in case, buy two. Or bring a laptop and load your stuff into that every night. That's what I do.

I like the wrist mount but the kids want the head mount

slowly figuring this out - you guys are the best

Mine came with all the different mounts. Think the head mount is best.

I was going to get one and mount it next to my still camera but decided not to because my Canon still takes pretty good HD video.

This (top) is about the biggest and baddest card you can get. 32 GIG - Class 10.This (bottom) one is smaller, but cheaper so you could buy a few. Good card, Class 10, fast. I'd get three or four of these. I have a few Q MEMORY (Samsung) cards. Never a problem. Bought them from the 'FlashMemoryStore', too. Ten bucks each is a great price. According to the GoPro site, you'd get about an hour of video at the highest resolution (1080p, I wouldn't shoot on any setting less) per 8 GIG card. An hour is a lot of video. Most times you shoot in one or two minute bites, at most.

I am using a mustang 16 gb card and it is a class 10......I get about 2 hrs and 20 min of video and just erase it after I import it on my computer.
