Scuba Flea Market

The scuba flea market was today and it was great!!!! There were lots of great deals and lots of divers. It looked like everyone was leaving with lots of new scuba toys and the vendors as well as the buyers were very happy. Maybe the sport is coming back after a few years that seemed like it was on the decline. I swore I was not going to buy anything this year but of course I found a few deals I could not pass up.
The best part by far of the market is see all the old friends that we have not seen in a while!!
Anyone who feels like mentioning some of their great finds at the market feel free to post a report of your deal of the day.

I see my original instructor there every year. Unfortunately, this year I had to advise him that it was my 25th year of diving, which made him feel old. Great event to catch up with old friends, pick up schedules, and buy and sell gear. Kudos to Ocean Wreck Divers for keeping it going all of these years.

the table that had all the stuff about Ocean Dumping and how how long things last once they get thrown into the sea. On the table in Big writing is this sign that says “ Another example of Ocean Dumping Destroying Our Wrecks” and there is this Plate with Capt Wims name on it lololololol (the names have been changed to protect the innocent") - the guys from the Sea Lion found it on the Mohawk on saturday. Capt Wims EYES are bugging out and I am cracking up laughing, everyone taking pictures of the plate and Capt Wim lololololol - i was cryin, I was laughing so hard

Yeah, your deal of the day was not diving related but the $3 chum basket you had your eye on for 6 hours!
Now I know how Bart supports his diving habit, he corners the precious metal [lead] market!

I brought a friend who was looking for a used drysuit. He found a nice DUI 905 with hose and undergarments for $350! It was in nice shape too. I found a new pair of gloves for $15.00 and was even happier when I saw the same gloves selling at a few tables over for $40!

I visited the NJHDA Booth and got to speak with the President as well as make a donation. I bought dry suit under garment, masks and misc accessories, great event!!
