New Year's Day Dive

Hey, all of you divers that have not put your gear away for the season, Gypsy Blood is still running and we are planning on running New Year's Day. Right now we are planning on leaving the dock at 9:00am for the Delaware. We will do two dives and I will have the heat in the cabin set to a balmy 70 degrees so you can warm up during the surface interval (or like me who will be spending most of the day in the cabin).

We will have drinks on board and plenty of room for your lunch in case you bring one.

If you want to be able to tell everyone you did the first ocean dive of 2012 on New Year's Day, You can either sign up on our WEB site or call me at 973-949-4599.

Never having dove in January what could I expect as far as water temp,viz and marine life? I know there are no guarentee's but my son is anxious to try his new spear gun.

Hey, I see Taylor got the gun... Vis at the delaware is always iffy... Its close to shore. Temp is generally around 50. Conditions is anyones guess... Its never the same. But it could be awesome!!! One never knows. I have done several NY day dives and its really just to say you did it!!!

I personally was thinking of going tomorrow!!!

Current water temp is 50 degrees and Sunday is expected to be around 55 degrees. The rest is up to mother nature.

Either way we plan on having a good time and there won't be a better time to try out that new gun. This wreck normally has plenty of fish on it.
