What's really bad is finding the bug in your bag two weeks later in the trunk of your car. Can you say "perfume?"
First off its impossible.......

to get lost on the railroad barge unless maybe you are one of those sweet water quarry divers who think because somehow they set their gear up on a picnic table, get dressed in the water, never use their dive computer, and feel they now know how to dive in the ocean. Those types can and do get lost on the railroad barge. IMO they should never be allowed to go into saltwater under any conditions, at least around me, but I am not in charge
As for getting pinched by a bug that you forgot was in your bag - well it makes me think why is that bug in the divers bag in the first place - i mean what was the individual doing, Trying to hide the fact that it was a mere cricket or worst? after getting pinched and bleeding all over the place, did said individual clean up the mess? if he did then its not so bad - on the GB we had a mate (new Mate Wevin) who tried to take a lobster out of his game bag with just one finger - i was not there that day but i heard he was successful. there are even photos of it on face book. If i remember correctly hes the same mate that got Capt Jim with his speargun in the hand - now that was a funny day - in all i say the getting lost is the worst but thats my opinion
Bart - In my many years of diving - I can say - YES - there are people who get lost on the RR Barge. Three instances come to mind - all three involved instructors (organization omitted) with many 'instructional' C-cards.
For this particular reason - I send my crew in to "shadow" DM's and instructors whom I am not familiar with. Sad - but true! Only goes to show what a dollar can buy!
Capt. Tony, do you remember the "tek" diver we had on board that got lost on the RR barge? He spent the whole ride out telling everyone how good of a diver he was. The low and behold he got lost on a basically a square box. Vis was great that day. I still have no idea how you can get lost on that wreck even in zero vis. If I remember correctly the reason we were on the RR barge was because he brought a mix way too high for the wreck that the group wanted to go on, the insisted that he would not "swim" any deeper then his nitrox mix allowed. I really really miss crewing, but I don't miss having to look for idiots like that.
The good story is when Jimmy Wood got lost on the Tug Veronica M.,out of air and crying like the Kitten he is ! Was soo bad Al Bull had to shoot him a couple of fish to console his usless A-- .Big hot shot DM . And the saga continues ! 24K
