Thoughts on this weekend's Vis?

What's the consensus? I believe Mario is going to skunk us this weekend. Even low height ground swells penetrate pretty deeply into the water column. It's been my experience that if there's a tropical storm or hurricane within a few hundred miles of us the vis will be next to zero unless you can get on something like the Stolt where you can stay way off the bottom...

What do you guys think?

I believe the Mary L will be staying in the slip or blowfishing this weekend....

All of the low lying wrecks very well have grappy vis, this why we are headed for the larger wreck sites with relief.

Personally, I don't think we'll get out at all on Sunday. Every time I book this wreck (BethDeeBob) something comes up. I WANT SOME FRIGGIN' SCALLOPS !!!!

Looking at the forecasts and weather / sat maps - I would venture to say that vis will be bad - unless you get on something with significant relief. Combine the wind forecasts with the significant LP hanging over the great lakes with the system south east of Hatteras ( the two can come together) and I say we might be in for a nice stay at home weekend.

Anyone interested in helping me dig out and finish my new koi pond??

I was up at the beach today and the water looked clearer than its been. I am diving this weekend and hope to hit a wreck with relief, to provide more opportunity for some vis. I personally think the vis issues are related to the algae bloom and that is why it is so persistent.

It's hard to say,just left the marina and the vis looks better than it has in two weeks.North east wind usually brings in clear water.If Maria brings in ground swells the very bottom will have no vis,but anything with relieve might be O.K.
