Along with the Venture III, the Outlaw was where I learned to dive. The funny thing is, I still have most of the gear in this picture ! I need a table at the scuba flea market.

I have the one at sea with the tanker in the back round as my screen saver.
I too had some of the very best times of my life on that boat with some wonderful people.

A truly sad event, I've known Bob for over 30yrs, we had some great competitions for food diving with Hepler, I had the pleasure of getting a call from Bob when he bought the Outlaw and did the Maiden voyage on it, we headed offshore and did a wreck in about 150 ft if memory serves me, then as we headed inshore, Bob said I know this rock pile that is REALLY good for bugs, he wasn't kidding, I caught so many I finally gave up after I had filled my bag, probably could have caught another bag full if I wanted

Wow. What a way to go out. I have so many fond memories on her, including diving with so many good friends over the years.

On the flip side though, it is probably costing monmouth bulkheading some $$$ to dispose of it.
And that is good.

A sad end indeed. I was very green when I did one of my first dives of the Outlaw and I remember Capt. Nash being very decent to me.

This breaks my heart into a million pieces. I've had some of the best times of my life on this old boat. Did about 1,000 dives off of her.

It's like the death of an old friend. Sad......so sad.

Met some of the nicest people over the years and learned helluva a lot from Capt. Bob & the first mate Wes.

What a horrible way for her to meet her end.

Get this thread rolling with your memories and photos showing the ol' girl during her glory years. I'll start adding my images tomorrow......both the boat, the crew, the customers,
the catches and the fun times had onboard.
