Goat dive report 5-21-18

Monday 5-21-2018 RV GOAT Dive Report: Today I was joined by Bart Major and Joe Fiorentino. We headed out of Barnegat Inlet and headed East into 4 ft swell. It was a little rough but once we cleared the inlet it was pretty calm. Our first stop was the San Saba. We managed a few lobster ( Bart got a nice 5lb bug as well as some just a bit smaller) and sea bass as well as some brass.
Next stop was the choppara where we had similar bottom conditions (20ft vis and bottom in lower 40s). Joe and I both managed to recover some lobster but not much else came up until Bart sent up a lift bag. We were not able to recover the bag until he came up and it turned out to be a nice wreck anchor and lots of line.
Nice day on the water and we will try again tomorrow.
