Last Thursday, OWD headed out on the Blue Fathoms for a one tank dive, destination, the Cadet. We arrived at the wreck and were quickly tied in. The divers rapidly splashed to escape the heat and found the water a comfy 57F at 75 feet. The surface algae murk down to 20 ft seems to have arrived but the vis on the bottom was a nice 10 ft. The wreck was loaded with life, big fluke, tautog, sea bass, lobsters, skates, sea robins, basically like a big aquarium. Everyone had a great dive and plenty of fish were boated. After the dive, we slowly motored in, watching the fireworks and eating pizza. A great night! A brief rainstorm even washed our gear. oceanwreckdivers.
