OWD headed out Sunday on the Blue Fathoms, destination the Sea Girt wreck. The mouth of the Manasquan Inlet was a mess with large steep waves but once we got clear the sea settled down into an easy 2ft swell with patchy fog. We headed to the Sea Girt wreck and the third time was the charm as there was no boats on it. We tied in as the sun quickly burned off the fog. The divers splashed and after clearing the surface murk, found 20 foot vis and a balmy 52 F at 80 ft. Lobsters were sighted- eggers and shorts tho. Sea bass are back in season and were boated. No fluke seen. We did two dives and headed for the dock, the best day of diving so far. Looking forward to a great dive season! www.oceanwreckdivers.com
