taking advantage of the warm weather and little wind a small group of determined divers left shark river inlet - it was myself , Capt Stan, Howard and a bubble watcher whos gear is being worked on... Having had several weeks of poor vis we headed out to the sea girt wreck hoping to find decent vis - we were not disappointed - the vis was 20 foot, the water temp in the 40s ( one strong fellow diving wet) and no surge - both stan and howard splashed first and were rewarded with several nice bugs and artifacts made of bronze. - it seems the recent storm surge has moved the bottom around and stuff is exposed - large clams were scattered about the bottom as well - when i went in i was impressed by the great vis and many empty smoked up holes were seen where lobsters once were. after a 40 minute dive we then moved over to another local favorite wreck and this time it was loaded with large Cod fish, including one huge fellow approaching 34 inches - i could not believe it!!!!! - several over the legal limit were seen resting under wooden sections of wreckage - a very nice change from the poor weather we have had in the recent past - it was great to be out with good friends and calm seas - i remain the bartman-mosb
