Better fasten your seat belts- this was a wild one. Bob,Scott, Randall, Toonsis, The Kipper and I decided to head out Saturday. We all made sure to take a pictures of the thermometers on our dashboards and post them to various social media sites to prove to the world what hardcore badasses we are diving in 17 degree air temps. We decided to head to the same destination as last week because of the strong current , undersized fish and bad visibility experienced. After a 3 hour ride to the wreck site, it was time to go out on deck and prepare the shot line. As quickly as everyone ran out of the cabin, they ran back in. An "I did that last time" attitude suddenly overcame the crew. After some time order was restored and I went in to set the hook. Conditions were as expected. As long as You stayed about 15ft off the bottom, vis was good. Visibility at 150ft was 3.5ft ( depending on who you asked). I fumbled around for a little while and racked up a nice decompression penalty. I left the hook snagged solidly in a net for the next crew member to deal with. Temp was 54 top to bottom. We decided not to make a second dive on this wreck.
We had Chili for lunch. It was to spicy in one crew members opinion.
Second dive was a screw steamer in 90fsw. Much better conditions were had. Everyone had heartburn from the Chili.
