The first stop was a wooden wreck South of Barnegat in about 65 ft and a ways South. Vis was 20 to 25 ft and the bottom temp was 59 to 60. There were lots of lobster but not all were keepers. Lots of Blackfish and tons of seabass as well. We ended up with seabass, fluke, ling as well as a bunch of nice bugs. I have only been on this wreck site a few times and even after looking around a bit I can't really figure out what kind of ship this was. I guess we need to go back and spend more time investigating
Next stop was only a couple of miles away and this one was a metal clammer. It ended up I was the only one who dove it and it was a great dive. Great vis, lots of fish and lobster. Needless to saw more lobster and fish came up.
Last stop was another metal low wreck about 6 miles from the inlet that we hit on the way back. Great conditions but not as much sea life as we had hoped for. Well I guess 2 out of 3 is pretty good.
The day started off a bit choppy but flattened out in the afternoon and turned out to be a beautiful day on the water. We ended up staying in close all day and it was great to have warm temps, great vis and lots of bottom time.
