rolling on the floor laughing their tails off
Our trash can lid is on a leash. Pawpaw put a bungee cord on it. Then they hook the other end to the chain-link fence around our yard. Trashy Claws himself suggested this.
...maybe we should cut her a little, tiny bit of slack since she got all begermed up by trying to do the right thing. Why can't trash cans and lids be on leashes like dogs? That way, they'd be a whole lot easier to find. They probably wouldn't bark much, either.

Your Mom isn't just good to the neighborhood furs, she was kind to the neighbors. Momma hates walking up and down the alley hunting for the trash can and lid.
Make sure you sanitize her before you let her touch you.
That is how high the winds are gusting: eighty miles an hour. Today is trash day. Trashy Claws didn't get to the trashcans and recycling bins before the trash and recycling got all over the street. Mom was outside picking up her trash and recycling (including many, many, many furfood cans -- tee, hee, hee) throughout the day. She was there when Trashy Claws came. Then it was even better, because then mom had the responsibility of chasing everyone's trashcan and lid down the street -- several times, in many cases -- and put it in the places that she thought would be the most stable and where the owners could find them. Mom is stinky and smelly, and she has handled biohazard waste, and -- oh, oh, oh! She is not in a good mood at all!
