FRom 1937 to 1940 I served in the Field Artillery, ROTC unit at Louisiana State University. One of my most admiret Regulat Army instructors was Capt Conrad G. Follansbee, a ramrod straight, slender, tall, exemplary officer who so impressed me that I remember his middle initial. I Ha ve a mempry that he was a graduate of the Naval Academy and a marine, which always seemed so strange.
I have always wondered about his career after LSU and in WW 2. His commanding officer was Major Christiancy C. Pickett, a descendant od Pickett's charge
