Reading that part in Nellie's post of the Victoria and Albert Museum about this tiara gives me a puzzling question. It mentioned that the tiara was inherited by King Edward VII and in turn by his son King George V, who then gave it to his daughter the Countess of Harewood. I would assume that Queen Alexandra and Queen Mary both did not want to wear it or at least find it too small to wear on either of their heads. I do not think I see any picture of either queen wearing it, do you, Nellie?
