Dwarf Butia" Usually some type hybrid or cross, it could be Butia odorata (Brazilian Butia Palm / Pindo Palm): This species is widely considered the hardiest of the feather-leaved palms, frequently enduring temperatures down to 10*F to 15°F (-12°C to -9°C), with some mature specimens surviving "lower temperatures" when provided with winter protection. It is native to southern Brazil and Uruguay. formerly known as B capitata. Butia Palms in South American are well known to cross pollinate and hybridise within its genre.
