I think sable palm that’s grown from seed from palms that’s been grown for years in Tifton Georgia would be fairly hardy . There might be some seed off of palm that’s been grown for years on North Carolina coast might be harder than that even the Tifton consumer. Federal election. Tiffany is not very far ill from Savannah so it’s really not that far north. I’m sure there’s people better able than me would know how well they do in their particular area. You might be able to Google it.

After checking a map I can see Tifton is much further south than anywhere in South Carolina or North Carolina. A specimen from Virginia Beach (if some could be found naturalizing would be a hoot or New Bern, Wilmington or Oak Island would definitely seem hardier. It depends on where he got his seed. I think he might’ve got his seed from Oak Island.

I’ve noticed them before there. I mean they’ve kinda like went wild we it palms everywhere.

They’ve been planning for years, but then all these big dollar neighborhoods you see a lot.. this picture shows a little bit about a third of a sable Palmetto I had at my house in Greer. I plan about 2007 I guess anyway I sold that place.
