Feels like winter? Posted by Mark z7 Sharptown, MD on November 4, 2025, 5:49 am With the time change and dropping temperatures, it is starting to feel like winter now. Only 5 months to go for real growth to start again.

We’ve actually been in the 60s, so walking outside I’m surprised it’s warm in the afternoon. The time makes it seem so much later and colder outside. Haha. Next week looks to get cold with possible flurries. I’m doubtful, but we’ll see.

Although you didn't get a hurricane, your area was pounded with high surf, winds and storms. Glad your area didn't suffer too much. Oceanic climates are amazing but unpredictable during Hurricane season. I was surprised to find my area (according to google) being an Oceanic Climate bordering with Humid Subtropical as per the Trewartha system because of the Cumberland Mountains I live in. weird. Jake, the warm days have been nice but cool mornings prevailing. I'm getting my first frost and freeze early next week. We are going to hit 70* everyday through Saturday and almost as warm Sunday but rain moving in Sunday morning. So glad the rain will be long gone by Monday mornings low of 28* (some saying a flurry or two but I think it will be east of you) and Tuesdays low of 23* ouch Time to light up the palms but forecasters think the country warms up again. By Thanksgiving we will be in winter for sure.

Ciao Tom, snow and lake effect snow will be in MI and OH by weeks end and beginning of next week. The Euro model is showing flurries here Monday but it all should be gone for everyone by next mid-week as temps really warm back up. Its 71* currently and sunny. Tomorrow I'm going to start protecting things. It's November already amico

Looks like snow but not accumulating here. I’ll probably have to dig my Oleanders soon. Will be chopping bananas down too. Good luck with your protection. I hope we both have a mild winter overall.

Im seeing so many bananas still up and my village is refusing to pick up cut bananas. I may have to have a talk with the mayor since my village and county taxes ''both doubled'' for 2025. $1,500 payable by March 1st 2026 jaja. It used to be very cheap to live here but so many people are moving into the area, they are having to build new schools and roads. Yeah, we're lucky we aren't getting a bad storm. Ice storms are the worst. Good luck with your protection amico and hope we have a mild winter also. Ciao.
