16049 clean up day Posted by Jason Western PA on October 25, 2025, 9:19 pm Post office clean up. All the postal workers came out, and each got a banana start. They were so excited. The first one came out and said no, not my banana. He said I would love one of those. I said well here, I need to dig some out anyways. 3 sabal minors grown from Robs seeds have survived 2 full winters with just mulch. Cactus from Corolla N.C. trip a few years ago. I planted it here for fun. 2 years now with no protection.

I'm sure my post office is like most others in the country. The bananas and cactus is just amazing. In the next year or two you will definitely see a transformation in those sabal minors as they graduate from the juvenile stage. I wished everyone would spread a little greenery in their community. I tried it once at our native american history museum but it didn't go well. The museum asked for public landscaping and material donations and no one helped. After seeing a needle palm and windmill I planted by a wealth contractors wife, she decided to adopt and refurbish the whole grounds. They yanked out my palms and plants and just planted arborvitae everywhere. Today that sponsor lost interest and its just a mess. Thanks for making your community proud. I know the employees are proud of it and the village merchants. Thanks for sharing.
