Cold out in the garden Posted by Rob N TN on October 22, 2025, 1:27 pm It was 41* this morning. Our coldest low so far. The cool fall weather has settled into many parts of Tennessee. Nothing but sunshine now. Nashville had 41* this morning out at the airport. It may have been a degree or two warmer downtown. Jim, if you see this, I will post some pics later. Been under the weather but doing well and hope you are too

I cut all my bananas down last week and never planted out two favorite species this year due to sickness, Red Abyssinian and Musa acuminata var. zebrina (aka blood or zebrina) btw - my town has stated no more banana debris pick-up since it stalls the shredder. If they don't this last time, I have a machete and garbage bags. I have 7 colonies of Basjoo and a couple in my palm microclimate are getting closer to the palms. I've heard table salt will take them out. I cant dig them out like I used too. I've tried everything to no avail so salt is next, any ideas?

It's coming to everyone sooner or later. Should be warmer after tomorrow morning.

Saturday overnight is 49* then rain moves in for 3 or 4 days with lows in the 50* Sometimes it's a tad warmer here amico but quality of life is so much better where you live. It was 44* here this morning, 6 * warmer than forecast. ------------------- NWS ----------------------- Davidson County: The low in Davidson County was 52.9°F. Middle Tennessee (regional): Across the broader Middle Tennessee area, temperatures dropped to the 40s and 50s. Tennessee Valley: (Kevin) Some areas of the Tennessee Valley saw lows in the lower 50s, with a few locations possibly dipping into the upper 40s. I saw one report where Nashville dropped to 42* briefly this morning
