The first flowers of the season have opened, at the top of Mimosa tree, here. Last year's early spring allowed the tree to begin flowering a week or two sooner, than this year.
I gave my NIGHT JASMINE, Cestrum nocturnum, a good haircut. This should allow it to bloom heavier, later in the summer. The scent on these are heavenly..just like a type of a woman's perfume. If you have not ever inhaled the scent of night jasmine, you are missing a treat for the nose.
Someone asked a question about Loganberries. Well, they are starting to ripen, now. Here are two pics of a ripening berry, taken a few days apart. I ate it, after taking the second pic. Tasty!
Some of you may have seen SNAPDRAGONS, sold in spring, as annuals. Did any of you NOT KNOW, that there are some COLD HARDY varieties, that can endure, even a z6 winter, and return? Well, this variety I got from Plant Delights Nursery, last year, has proven that this one is truly hardy. It is blooming now. The type is the SPANISH SNAPDRAGON, Antirrhinum hispanicum...
