Maypop Passionflower Blooming Posted by Jake- Morristown,TN on June 27, 2025, 7:28 pm I’ve always wanted to grow a passionflower for their tropical and alien looking blooms. I had no idea until last year that the Maypop is a native here in TN. I know it’s not zone pushing, but their tropical look will make them a staple in any of my plantings. This one is in a container to try and control it a bit. I got the smaller plants from a friend that has some planted in the ground at her house. They are beautiful and have spread a ton. Here’s have been blooming for a few weeks now in Knoxville. The flower is of the first bloom of the year on the plants given to me.
