I love those As a kid, I knew where there was a large clump of them. They developed that place, sad. I loved seeing them. Peonies are beautiful. My mother had them . In my part of Appalachia of SE Kentucky , we called them piney’ pronounced - pine- e. I say peony now but think piney before I speak still. My wife in said piney. My daggers name was Marcus, everyone called him mark. My middle name is Marcus. All your spring blooms are beautiful. Spring bloom is gone here now. It doesn’t last long but sure is wonderful.

My tree peonies ( I have about 5)tend to bloom before the herbaceous type, though. I planted a later blooming tree peony, last fall. It might coincide with my herbaceus types. I don't have hardy citrus. All of my citrus are potted. I like to grow the better tasting citrus. Fred asked about my Tulip seaon. Looks like yours hasn't ended yet, either, as his has.

These pics are from the entire spring as I didn't take that many pics. The tree peony was first followed by the herbaceus peony which is not losing it's flowers. Iris are blooming now.
