Plants uncovered Posted by Jason Western PA on March 12, 2025, 8:18 pm Evening all!! Warmth and spring has made it to the keystone state. This past weekend was uncovering time. All plants are open. Flowers are on their way.

I missed a bloom stalk on one in my back yard, and this week, I pulled up perhaps 50 that I noticed last year but never got around to pulling out. I threw all but about 10 in the garbage. I may grow those 10 on and probably pass on to some neighbors in a few years. Hope you and the little guys have a great growing season this year.

Your grass is actually greener than warmer temperature-liking Bermuda type. Northern lawn types green up sooner, than southern lawn types.

The last couple years I started feeding my lawn and putting it to sleep in the fall. That seems to have helped it. I planted Kentucky blue grass. It takes a while to look nice in the spring.
