A favorite video in your video list is about an early spring garden visit at a friend of yours in the countryside. You could do an update next spring, Every time I've seen a tall windmill in your area, seems like there is always a carpet of seedlings and that's why I always make sure there is no holes in my pockets nice palms Kevin.

There's only 1 palm I know for certain is protected in my area and I usually specify that when I post pics of it, if I don't forget. The newest map (which I disagree with) says we are zone 7B-8A. I call this area 7B because most all the historical maps suggest that. I would be more inclined to believe it if our climate was more like Europe and not with such wild swings, thanks north to south running mountains that don't do a whole lot to help us. Kevin seTN

I got started with Trachycarpus by pulling up ceiling from some big palms in front of office building on Pleasantburg Drive in Greenville and then after about a year, I went around and gathered the seed pods off the trees in a subdivision behind a brick wall. I climbed up on the brick wall and cut off the seed pods. lol. It’s wonderful when interested that’s paranoid as people are now about somebody in their neighborhood doing anything, Lol. If that was at that entrance to that development, we trimmed up salmon and they would be really, really nice. They could use a little grooming.. ever since Eric and Helene came through here and so many trees were blown down. I’m seeing lots of palms now that I had no idea were there along roads . I will have to try to take a few pictures one of these days..

I had ice on the water behind my house until yesterday and had frozen ground a few days ago. I think they need to change how they determine it. They should factor in how many hours of below freezing an area gets. The next cold spell shows consecutive days and nights under 32 freezing where I am after around Jan 7th. that's what can kill palms where I am.I don't see that in z7b in NC and south
