At this time of year, though, for tropical plants, shipping requires timing delivery for milder breaks, and/or ordering heat packs to be included in the box, so the plants arrive undamaged by cold.

You would br taking all these tropical plants there with you. I saw a story yesterday of an old Indian American lady in South Florida who had been growing hundreds of tropical fruits and p as pms too. It was amazing. She had several kinds of Mango alone plus you name it and she was growing it. I know you enjoy your collection of tropical fruits.

Believe it or not, but many in Florida, ALSO grow alot of their trees in containers. Might seem strange for them to feel the need to do this, but they do. Growing fruit trees in pots (as well as regular pruning) help keep the plants from getting too tall, and placing fruits too high off the ground, for picking. Also, there can be frosts, even there, that could damage the trees, if not protected in place, or moved to a structure.

Seems to think warm months are the only months to plant things. What is planted at a given time of year, depends on the type of plant, and the state the to be planted is in. He also forgot, or didn't know that seeds of many things are often started/planted in fall and winter. Plants in greenhouses or the house need care in the cooler months, or transPLANTED, as well.
