La Nina outlook, a Tennessee perspective
Posted by Rob N TN on November 29, 2024, 12:03 pm
I wanted to find a regional outlook but perhaps Tennessee members will find this of interest. There are a few diagrams of national interest. clicking on any diagram will enlarge the report
This was an interesting graphic for a weather nerd like myself. Thanks for sharing! Still learning the weather here in East TN even after living here since summer 2021.
Hi Jake, Looks like your area (anywhere east of the Tennessee River actually) will be the warmest area this winter. Kudos. Not so much here tonight. I live about 165 miles west of you and still not actually in Middle Tennessee and we have one inch of snow on the ground here. Schools will be closed tomorrow (Tues) because lots of school bus routes have to travel down 6%-8% grades and I bet you see that a lot in Hamblen. Your so close to the National Park. We have one a little closer, Big South Fork National Park. Your cant beat Tennessee in mild weather unless you hunt or ski and that's what's happening now. Hope you covered your plants well. These 20*ish lows are not good. Its 23* here at the moment and 29* in your area Glad you liked the winter outlook. Thanks.
