Palms are looking good here…. Posted by Tom in PA on November 8, 2024, 6:10 pm Hopefully the mild fall will lead to a mild winter. Accuweather is predicting a mild winter with below normal snow. We’ll see🤞. Here are some palm pics going into late fall. Thanks for looking!

You have quite a number of nice ones. My wife’s Butia has grown so much this year. I hope we don’t have any teens this winter. Butias are marginal here and anything below 15 is hard on the fronds of a Butia. Last winter I protected it on a few nights with a cover. That might just be a chore as it gets larger.

So nice to see such healthy and beautiful palms Tom and that Butia looks so good. All weather projections seem to be in our favor. Nothing some protection can't handle if it comes to it. We had some nasty low temps here last year but thankfully short lived. It was supposed to be mild last year also but there will always be a spike event that no forecast will cover but it was 90% mild, hoping for another one grazi mio fratello
