The Beauty Berry flowers late (early summer), but the berries develop quickly, and are fully ripe, in September. The tree fern loves dappled shade, and loves water. One of the few plants that loves a drainage pan full of water beneath it, at all times, in the warmer months.

There are often a number of things that could go wrong: disease, insect pests, too much or too little light, and too much or too little water, are the major culprits.
