Francine will bring rain Posted by Rob N TN on September 9, 2024, 12:27 am Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama heads up. High winds, heavy rains and tornadoes are possible, FRIDAY. Looks like Francine will still remain some type of classification in my area and TS in Southern Tennessee. Will love the badly needed rain but hoping the coast will be ok . Looking like E2 in Louisiana. Projections show tropical rains in Ontario Canada within 18 hours of landfall in Louisiana. It will be windy and moving quickly northbound.

Not promising, especially east of the mountains Posted by David-Shenandoah Valley of VA on September 9, 2024, 11:45 am, in reply to "Francine will bring rain" Currently, it looks like it will move toward Chicago since that area is in the center of the projected path. Unless the projected path changes, most of us will not see much from this storm. The closer you are to the Mississippi, the better your chances appear to be at this time.

Many days of rain afterwards Posted by Rob N TN on September 9, 2024, 9:01 pm, in reply to "Re: Francine will bring rain" Doesn't look promising east of the Cumberland Plateau. I don't expect a lot of rain but the forecast is showing many days of rain afterwards and you should get some rain then.

Post storm effect Posted by Rob N TN on September 9, 2024, 9:10 pm, in reply to "Not promising, especially east of the mountains" Your right David and it has changed a little and the Euro is showing more northerly up the Mississippi but the America model is veering more easterly. There are many days of high percentage rain for my area after the storm passes. I'm hoping you will see some of that. I know you could use it.
