That has been a pain. However care along with sufficient irrigation is very important because sometimes palms wont bloom or have pollen when neglected.
Luckily Needle Palm and Sabal minor are good for me because when a plant produces seeds without sexual reproduction (pollination and fertilization), it is called apomixis. During this process, the plant bypasses the normal mixing of male and female cells, resulting in seeds that grow into exact 'genetic clones' of the mother plant. I have several pups under Big Mama's Skirt with over 3 ft of slender trunks and to be 'clones' is something really big for me.
I'm hoping to change it up as I'm growing 2 different other species of Trachycarpus now, T.Wagnerianus and a hybrid Himalayan 'Nanital'.
