I planted this Ben Franklin Tree, back in late March, as a dormant and leafless, 3 gallon, from the National Arbor Day Foundation. It has leafed-out. The OCOTILLO or Fouquiera splendens, has leafed-out. It spends large portions of the year, in a leafless state. If anyone is unfamiliar with Ocotillo, it is a desert plant, that eventually grows tall, thorny stems which can bloom, as well...

Hard to believe I planted this one in 2019. It has flowered every year, since 2020. The cultivar is 'Burning Heart', and its blooms are hot pink:

The INDIGOFERA kirilowii is blooming. The cultivar of this one is 'Bernheim'. Indigofera is leguminous (pod-bearing), like Mimosa. This variety came through my -10F winter, with no damage:
