Since orioles, and hummingbirds are nectar-feeding, associated with pollination and plant breeding (sex), they are the "bird portion" of the so-called "birds and the bees" talk that parents often give their kids. Like hummers, orioles have been affected by loss of habitat, pesticides, and climate change.
I saw my first oriole at an oriole feeder, in my yard. Their favorite foods, in addition to nectar, are: sections of oranges, grape jelly, and mealworms (dried ones are ok).
