I mowed my lawn for the first time of the season, just last week. The northern type grasses are pretty green, this early in the season. Since I don't have much lawn left, I make it a point to dig all visible weeds, before I cut, each time. This cuts down on lawn weeds, and keeps me from having to use "harmful to the environment" weed killers. This is what it looks like...

A third type of Magnolia is blooming now. I set this one out, a few years ago, to replace the Jon Jon Saucer Magnolia, I planted next to my driveway, on her property (about 20 years ago, when that house was vacant), and the next door neighbor cut down, claiming raccoons were climbing it to get onto her roof, to make holes. This Magnolia cultivar is 'Alexandrina'...
