I am especially hoping that rains continue into July and into fall, unlike last year. Drought always affects honey crops, and creates higher water bills. Great for corporate profits, but bad for agriculture, and other parts of the economy, that are connected to rainfall, including the price of groceries.
Good Lord..NINETIES IN APRIL !
That is kinda like the triple digit highs, the Southwest experienced, in MARCH. Although summers are usually hot, out there, 100 degrees in March (was still WINTER,actually), was unheard of, and record-smashing.
I've got to get my green peas planted, asap, so they have a chance of bearing before July. I have to get my cool season veggie starts in the ground, too.
I planted some grass seeds in bare spots, in the tiny amount of lawn I have left, yesterday. Bluegrass, rye, bent, and fescue are the chief lawn grasses grown up here. They tend to become less green, by July, though, especially if the summers are dry.
