That's what makes those sabals and needles tough Tom, after a couple or so years the discoloration should stop in z6b.
I think you will be fine and actually a good trial to experience. Crapes can and will die to the ground but they are hard to destroy. I've seen others mow or cut them down for years and they finally stopped coming back.
I think I remained at z7b barely and had a bleached or partial bleached out frond here or there but was able to survive this winter, I missed the crippling Ice Storm by about 50 miles west of here and under 32* for 3 days. Luck was with me. Goditi la primavera amico.
