Fred be careful out there. Im glad its daytime because it might help raise the temps. Mauldin SC near you was expecting high ice totals but so far SC may be ok except for the Mountains near Senaca-Oconee and Hiawassee.
People were in full panic for days here. The roads are still slushy and frozen in most areas but the electrical grid held up. A warm spike (about 75 miles wide at the beginning, rose up and over the plateau from Alabama into the Daniel Boone Forest in Ky and that saved us. Power is out on both sides of that spike. Its 34* now with a mix of rain and snow. The ice is over but now the week long cold sets in. Be safe, say hello to Ms Dorothy.
