It's been nearly 10 years since I posted on any Palm Forum. We moved to Asheville from Augusta, GA nearly 10 years ago. I brought one palm I purchased from "Steve N Alabama" at one of his stops in Augusta before we left. As I recall it was sold as Trachycarpus 'Bulgaria' in a one gallon pot.
I threw it in the ground circa 2017 and for the first few winters only put an upside down trash can on it. Before the below zero freeze we had in Christmas 2022 luckily I built this protection scheme. I now protect it every year. It has flowered every year since.
It's starting to outgrow my protection. I have not protected it this year yet.
