Is that Mimosa blooming, this year? At that height, you'd think it would be. My Mimosa flower buds are nearing opening. My tree is roughly 20 ft , and wide. I estimate it to be between 15 and 20 yrs, in the ground. It was a seedling, when planted. Over the years, it got damaged, twice, after z5b temps.
I double up my gloves, when having to work with thorny, or spiky plants (a latex pair inside a pair of leather palm gloves). Makes touching, or weeding around such plants, much much easier.
