The thermometer topped 90 degrees, for the first time, this year. The humidity is high, as well, with plenty of rain falling, over past couple days. The official high was 92. Temps are expected to be hot, over much of the upcoming week.
I finally got around to picking my first mess of collard greens, today. You might remember that I set out 19 starts, in a 3 x 4 ft space. These many plants planted in a small space, creates alot of shade, especially for leaves closer to the ground. I still have to make another initial picking. These first bags will likely go into the freezer.

Ready for the real deal? A few days ago, I posted a pic of a plant commonly called, the Mexican Mock Orange. Well, a REAL Mock Orange, Philadelphus coronarius 'Aureus' is now blooming in my garden. This is a "yellow-leaved" version of mock orange. Now, these blooms smell very similar to orange blossoms. Year before last, I posted a pic of this, when I got it.
