You nailed the Brug/Angel's Trumpet. The horns point downward, as if angels from heaven are blowing them. On the other hand, Datura are referred to as Devils Trumpets, because they point upward, as if their horns are being blown from down below.
Hummingbirds, although seasonal like orioles, they stay up here longer...from mid-May through late September. Only one species of hummer comes this far north: the Ruby-throated Hummingbird. I dont ever remember seeing an adult male, with a red spot, though. All I have seen are either solid green females, or juvenile males.
Yep, you posted pics of Summer Snowflakes, I think, in March. Your Dutch bulb blooms precede mine. You asked if the Summer Snowflakes you showed, were Snowdrops.
Hopefully, the storms wont cause as much damage, the next go round. Weather is supposed to be nice and sunny, for several days. This past Sunday and Monday were rainy, and wet.
