I had to put my hardening collard starts in the greenhouse, for a few days, because temps dipped below freezing. Temps have gotten mild again, for a few days, so I put the packs back in the yard. I will likely put them back in the greenhouse, again, on Sunday, for a few days...

Although my potted Fudingzhu has bloomed, all winter, I lifted the cone from my in-ground tea olive to see how it fared after my -3F winter. The leaves that touched the top of the cone burned, but the leaves lower down, on the plant are fully green...

I lifted the cone from my other in-ground tea olive. It, too, had upper leaves that bronzed from touching the top of the cone, but the plant will grow new leaves. So, it is fine. This tea olive cultivar is, "Beni kin Mokesei'. Anybody else growing any other color tea olive, than white? Beni kin Mokusei is a red-flowered cultivar...
