The first outdoor blooms of 2025 are happening right now. They are about two weeks late, using last year, for perspective. These are SNOWDROPS, Galanthus nivalis...

I removed the rose cone from this holly species. It is rated zone 7, but both my winter minimum, and zone is 6B. The holly species is the YAUPON HOLLY, or Ilex vomitotium. Anyone else growing this BLE?

I removed the rose cone from this BLE (broad-leaved evergreen). It is also rated z7 hardy, unprotected, and is related to olive trees. The plant is Elaeagnus 'Olive Martini'. Any one else growing this plant, in their garden?

The WINTER ELEPHANT EARS are still green, after weeks of snow cover, and a minus 3 low, this winter. Anybody else's elephant ears stay green, all winter? This plant is called the Italian Arum, or Arum italica. Fred showed a picyure of his Arrowhead plant/Syngonium, recently. This one is much hardier, though:
