Everything looks good to me. It looks like you've been getting some rain by the appearance of your plants and grass.
It has been a hot and dry summer here in the valley. June delivered about 1 inch of rain here and July gave us a couple more. The low precipitation, coupled with the intense heat, made for some brown grass and very unhappy plants. I noticed some cactus plants (Opuntia humifusa) growing in the brown back yard recently. I don't know exactly how they got there, but they were thriving.
We were officially in a severe drought situation here. Thankfully, Tropical Storm Debby came right up the valley Wednesday night through Friday morning delivering about 5 inches of rain! I think you could call that a drought buster or close to it.
