Mr. Cole, Tennessee's Palm Godfather gave me a potted Mountain Laurel many years ago and I left it outside and had forgotten about it. It did not survive potted outside that winter and one day I will try again. It is native where you and I live
Tom I love Natchez Crape Myrtles. They are the first to bloom in my downtown district and should be about ready to bloom soon. I love that Dynamite too. Can't go wrong with those two. I remember your Black Diamond. I have a neighbor growing it but some of it looks like it died. Love the blooms and foliage on that one. Hope you find a great alternative for the hardy orange.
