Yeah, "sunny spots" in my yard are non-existent in my yard. A few spots get a bit more sun, than others though. Yet, I continue adding sun-lovers to my collection, like Yuccas and cacti, lol.
The woodland flowers usually bloom before surrounding deciduous plants have fully leafed-out, and flower in full sun. They usually go dormant, when they get into more shade, by early summer.
