Believe it or not, the Hepatica plant came from an Etsy vendor, in Europe, in 2019. Luckily , the plant made it to me, ALIVE, without being confiscated, by customs. The vendor no longer sells on Etsy.
Yep, watering can be an issue with Desert Roses. If you live around critters, like I do, they are another plant that needs protection with a wire cage. Squirrels love to take bites out of their caudex, in their sampling of garden plants (which includes digging really close to plants) that can contribute to rot of the caudex. These plants love heat, too. I hope I can keep this one alive.
I have 5 Easter cacti, now. As mentioned before, they are bit easier to grow, than Christmas cacti, and more reliable bloomers, if kept on the dry side, in winter.
In terms of Kaffir Lilies/Clivia miniata, I have 4 Clivia, of which 3 are reliable annual bloomers, sometimes giving an encore, in mid-late summer. The pic below, shows a piece from my larger yellow Kaffir, that fell off the plant, last summer, somehow. I let the broken off end, dry off a few days, and then potted it in a sandy mix. It is now forming a new leaf, so I think it has rooted:
