Bloom time notwithstanding, there are distinguishable differences between the two. The tubular blooms appear the same, but a closer look will reveal that Crossvine is a reddish orange with a yellow throat, while Trumpet Vine is a solid red, orange, or (rarely) yellow.
Im seeing so many things in bloom now and can't wait to visit a mom and pop nursery here. Tomorrow begins an extended warming trend and I will be getting lots of things out of storage.
Black EE's, Palms, Money Trees, Cactus, Agave, Dracaena, Monstera, Philodendrons, Red bananas and Schefflera Arboricolas and many more come to mind.
They have done well in storage.
Thanks Fred
